Dr. Brian Arkins, Prof. Emeritus NUI Galway, will present two new lectures to celebrate Bloomsday and also Galway’s ongoing connection to Lady Gregory and WB Yeats.

At 6pm on Monday June 13, now titled Yeats Day to celebrate the writer’s birthday, Dr. Arkins will present a lecture entitled “The Plays of WB Yeats”.

Then on Thursday June 16, Bloomsday, Dr. Arkins will present “The Censorship of Joyce’s Fiction”.

 

Both lectures are free, attendees are advised to arrive early to ensure admission.
