Red Bird Youth Collective: Glimpse of Galway

Inspired by the Bord Fáilte Travelogue, Glamour of Galway, which showcases Galway City in the 1950s, Red Bird Youth Collective began creating a short film based in Galway City and Connemara in January 2022. Working with artist Louise Manifold members shot, directed, and wrote the short film over the course of three months. The result is Glimpse of Galway, a short film that captures the ever-changing beauty of Galway through the eyes of young people.

Red Bird is for anyone aged 15-24. It is an ideal pursuit for students interested in self-led art projects, writing, music and other artforms. It is also a good foundation for those wishing to further study the arts or for those who enjoy art as a hobby.
