Popular youth music project Livefeed ends with concert film on April 30th

April 30th sees the culmination of Livefeed’s epic journey with Galway 2020 which started in 2019 and has taken in workshops and gigs across the city and county as well as a whole series of live and pre-recorded performances reflecting the current times. For their final event, Livefeed will premiere a concert filmed in the Galway Arts Centre and featuring a selection of the talented young songwriters, singers and musicians involved in the popular youth music project.

The concert will premiere on the Livefeed YouTube channel on Friday April 30th at 8pm. Artists featured include Stevie Healy, Conor O’Donnell, Kinga Neumann, Katie & Brianna Meyler, Daniel O’Malley (from the band The Rosecaps), Jolie Collins-Woods, Reid Turpen, Sarah Brookfield and Molly Terrins.

“We have been constantly amazed at the level of songwriting, singing and musicianship in Livefeed – it’s been incredible to see! Not only are our participants growing as artists and musicians, there’s a culture of support and a real sense of community in the project that we’re very proud of.” – David Boland, Project Manager

Livefeed

Livefeed is a Galway 2020 project created by local songwriters Tracy Bruen, Eoin Dolan and David Boland with the aim of empowering young people to pursue interests in songwriting, performance, audio production, sound engineering and music photography through workshops, mentorship and hands-on experience at events. Since 2019 they have worked with young people throughout Galway city and county and, since the closure of the live music industry, have adapted to online presentation with high quality pre-recorded live performances and online gigs.
