Performance,

LannaghBlue are delighted to play Nuns Island Theatre. The band, a duo Aidan Hynes & Teresa Burke, play an eclectic mix of original (Prodigal CD) & interpretative classic covers: from Waits to Webb, Bossa Nova to Pop & Folk.

Castlebar-based Teresa Burke is well known for the evocative quality of her vocal renditions and is no stranger to the stage at home & abroad, having performed with various bands including the Reserved Moments. She has been lead vocalist on two previous albums (Puddletown & The Girl Who Dived For Pearls) before following it up with LannaghBlue’s first CD Prodigal.

Aidan Hynes, a former teacher, is a writer/poet/songwriter & musician. Mayo born/bred & Dublin resident, Aidan has played both solo & with bands. As a result of the musical partnership & performances with Teresa Burke, Prodigal evolved.

The album has been highly praised for its originality, beautifully-crafted songs exploring life, from tender moments to the raw & wounded, given an added depth with Teresa’s moving & soulful vocals.

Audiences can expect to be moved by the mesmeric musical energy of LannaghBlue. The original songs giving voice to Aidan’s instinctive story-telling, and witty observations on life’s hubris, past & present.

LannaghBlue has played several venues in the West to full houses following the launch of Prodigal at the Linenhall Arts Centre, Castlebar.
