GFS: Young Mothers

We’re delighted to welcome Galway Film Society to Galway Arts Centre | Nuns Island Theatre, for an 8 week consecutive run.

Screening times this week are Sunday 5pm and 8pm, Monday 6:30pm

Our second film follows Jessica, Perla, Julie, Ariane and Naïmaare, housed in a shelter for young mothers. The intersecting lives of these five teenagers hoping for a better life for themselves and their babies forms the subject of this beautiful and poetic film from the Dardennes. This is direct and profoundly emotional cinema from the two great masters of social realist cinema.
