ONE DAY PHOTOGRAPHIC DOCUMENTATION WORKSHOP

This workshop is designed for professional and emerging artists who wish to learn how to document or improve their photographic documenting skills.
The workshop will revolve around documentation of two-dimensional artworks. Participants own artwork will form the subjects to be documented during workshop sessions.
Both digital and analogue studio techniques will be covered during the course of the day with the main focus on digital imaging and post-production processing using Adobe PhotoShop in the afternoon session.
Along with a studio lighting session in the morning, methods of documenting without studio lighting, using daylight or ambient light, will be covered in the session after lunch.
The overall aim of the workshop is for the participant to gain both experience and understanding of the various applications and methods of photographic documentation, while considering the context the material will finally be presented. Working with your equipment the workshop intends to build on your skill set using the camera equipment you own, thereby offering practical solutions and advice to your documentation needs.
Please bring at least 3 artworks to the workshop. Participants are also to bring their own digital or analogue camera(s), flashes, tripods, laptops and cables to use during the workshop.
