Galway Arts Centre Education Courses

Galway Youth Theatre are offering a theatre training programme for young people ( 14 to 18) commencing in Mid  September . Various training in performance disciplines will be held at weekend workshops on Saturdays/ Sunday's from 11 to 1. The cost per term is 50 euro for 10 classes. There will be a public presentation of work at the end of the term.

Galway Arts Centre and Galway Community Theatre are offering a series of drama training workshops this Autumn.

Classes will run for 10 weeks from mid september.

Classes will incorporate practical training in Improvisation and European theatre.where participants will work on various styles and genres of European Theatre.

Classes will be facilitated on Wednesday evenings from 7pm - 9pm

The classes cost 50 euro for the term and this must be paid at the first class.

Digital Photography for Beginners by artist Louise Manifold is a 10 week evening course for adults. The
course is intended to provide a general introduction to photography and is suitable for both absolute
beginners and people with a little basic photographic knowledge wishing to develop their potential as
photographers.
This 10 week course aims at working creatively with digital photography to give practical hands on
experience of working with your digital camera to gain confidence and gain knowledge of what you
camera has to offer.
Each session aims to familiarize the student will DSR settings, photograph in different environments,
work with composition, lighting and introduction to digital imagining.
This beginners course aims to facilitate a relaxed environment that encourages the participant to find
there own creative path to produce stunning photographs.
Participants must bring their own digital SLR camera.
No previous experience needed.

Beginning a journey of discovery into the mystery of the human voice.
Singing is a natural birthright.
 
Through a series of weekly workshops anyone can sing. This Natural Voice workshop will guide participants through the world of singing. Enjoy singing in a group, learning harmonies from around the world.
 
Everything is learned by ear.
 
There will be a chance to learn about our own voices and to explore singing with others in a relaxed, friendly setting.
Kate Duignan is a Natural Voice facilitator.
 
Trained with Frankie Armstrong, Ivan Midderigh and Roy Hart Theatre France, Cork and Sligo Jazz Summer Schools and Community Music Galway pilot scheme.
