Place: Galway Arts Centre

Hosted by Galway City Community NetworkGalway Anti Racism Network and Galway Traveller Movement

The housing crisis is affecting us all in different ways. That sense of a common suffering is lost in an atmosphere where blame is laid at the door of certain groups. It is only by promoting a strong sense of social solidarity will our united demands be acknowledged.

GARN in coordination with a number of other community groups are putting on a public meeting on housing on Monday the 26th of November at 7pm. The format will reflect the title of this event - all stories heard and all demands respected.

This meeting will give be a platform for voices of those experiencing homelessness. It will promote solidarity across communities to take action against inequalities. Our voices will be united in calling for an end to the housing and accommodation crisis. We will seek to build a community response by highlighting who really is to blame for the crisis by reference to decades of flawed housing policy.

*The event will be live streamed.
*We encourage people to attend the National Housing Demonstration on Saturday the 1st of December. You will be able to book a seat on the bus from Galway and learn more about the wider housing campaign.
