CROÍ AN ĊLADAIĠ ‘FROM THE WOODS TO THE WATER

This unique visual journey captures the building of the iconic Galway Hooker, Croí an Ċladaiġ – From the Woods to the Water. The first in it’s class, built in Galway city since the early 1920’s, by Bádoirí an Ċladaiġ (Claddagh Boatmen), D.S.P, S.C.D.C. and Galway City Partnership.
These iconic boats are an important part of our Irish heritage. Croí an Ċladaiġ, ‘Heart of the Claddagh’, is now a regular sight in the Claddagh and Galway Bay. A credit to everyone who keep this wonderful tradition alive.
