Evening Classes
Life Drawing (All Levels) with Sibéal Ní Chuimín
Mondays 7-8.30pm (8 weeks) €120 /110 (9 places)
Tuesday 7-8.30pm (8 weeks) €120 /110 (9 places)
This all levels course will look at developing observational skills and the principles of composition and proportion. The class will also concentrating on line, perspective, form and tone using pencil, charcoal and graphite. Participants are asked to bring their own paper and drawing equipment
Digital Photography (Beginners- Intermediate) with Tom Flanagan
Tuesday 6.30-8.30pm (6 weeks) €120/€110 (6 places)
So you've had a fancy SLR for a while but still shoot on auto and wonder what all those other settings do? Then this is the course for you.! This hands-on course covers all aspects of Digital Photography with a focus on the Digital SLR {cameras with Manual settings and detachable Lenses) . I believe a good technical grounding followed by an in-depth exploration of the creative possibilities is key to developing your photographic skills. The course covers topics such as exposure, composition, landscape, portraits and lighting. You will gain a good technical grasp of your DSLR cameras settings and be able to use the camera to its full potential. Weekly assignments/projects are given to help you develop your skills and get feedback in a class setting. We also do a night photography field trip around Galway City exploring the possibilities of low light photography. This is a great course for the complete beginner or amateur enthusiast, guaranteed to learn allot and have fun in the process.Requirements : Any digital SLR camera, (must have manual settings)Access to a computer
Creative Writing Poetry (Beginners) with Kevin Higgins
Tuesdays 7-8.30pm (8 weeks) €90/80 (8 places)
Over ten weeks Kevin Higgins will lead participants through every aspect of poetry writing, from inspiration to editing to learning how to take constructive criticism. He will also help participants get their poems out into the world; the last two classes will be dedicated to How To Publish Your Poems and How to Read Your Poems in Public.

Acting with Pete Mullineaux
Wednesdays 7-8.30pm (8 weeks) €90/80 (15 places)
A performance class, which will bring out the actor in you! The focus will be on exploring self-potential through acting and other techniques. Participants will explore improvisation skills, a selection of play texts, breathing techniques, projection, voice work and gesture. The overall aim is to have fun and build self-confidence while learning more about theatre.
Creative Writing Fiction - Short Story Writing with Celeste Augé
Wednesday 7-8.30pm (6 weeks) €70/60 (8 places)
Create new worlds, invent yourself, lose yourself! Develop your unique writing voice through short fiction. Taking inspiration from contemporary short stories (and what writers have to say about them) participants will do in-class writing exercises along with assignments on their own time. These will be shared during the workshop in a supportive environment meant to challenge and inspire.
